Real-Time PCR, or quantitative PCR, is based on classical PCR method. Measure and visualization of amplification are made in real-time and are linked to fluorescence emission during each PCR cycle. This fluorescence is proportional to the gene number present at the beginning of the reaction.
Different technologies of Real-Time PCR exist today, they vary with the fluorescent probes, the fluorescence emission or absorption, the spectra. Adiavet ® REALTIME kits use Taqman ® probes technology. This technology is read by the main real time thermocyclers on the market currently.
